Radically Loved® with Rosie Acosta

Hi I’m Rosie Acosta. I am a Meditation Teacher; Speaker and Author of You Are Radically Loved: A healing journey to self-love. I grew up in East Los Angeles during the 92 La Riots and it set me on a troubled path for many years. I didn’t grow up with mentors in my life, so I turned to reading as many books as I possibly could to learn about life’s purpose. In my journey as a First Gen-Mexican American, I found having these conversations gave me insight, support, and inspiration. So, I decided to create a place where I could share these conversations with my community. The Radically Loved Podcast was born! How do we create a radically loved life? Come have a sit with me so we can discover all things mindfulness, spirituality, self-love, and overall healthy living. Please be sure to share the episodes that you love and also leave us a review!

Introducing #WisdomWednesdays with Rosie Acosta and Tessa Tovar

Welcome to the first episode of Wisdom Wednesdays!!! Wisdom Wednesdays is about sharing our experience, growth and transformation. How do you feel you experience wisdom in your life? How do you define wisdom in your life? How do you know when to go deep into shadow work and when you are ready to emerge into the light?

In today's episode, Rosie introduces us to Wisdom Wednesdays! In this series Rosie and Tessa will each share a passage, poem or reading that inspires a deeper awareness or inquiry.  They will each pose questions for you to think about and respond to as well!

If you want to know more about emotions and the full breadth of your ability to express them, this episode is for you!

Here are three reasons why you should listen to the full episode:

  1. Inquire about what is valuable in the shadow and lightness of our emotions.
  2. Learn the importance of experiencing sorrow and joy, and how to balance the two opposing energies.
  3. Discover the cycles of emotion and how to express them without depressing them.

5 Powerful Quotes

[02:09] “It’s the opposition of being reactive. Wisdom is coming from a place of knowing and a place of deep knowledge.”

[06:32] “How everything is in constant motion, and if you’re not moving towards transformation it’s only going to inwardly grow, you know, what is not being brought to light is going to dwell in the darkness.”

[13:43] “When do we ever give ourselves the opportunity to find that spaciousness where we can then process those things, or we can then be bored and allow new ideas to come in.”

[14:57] “Anger is a tool, just like every emotion is a tool, that is useful in times when it is needed.”

[32:48] “The best way for me to understand emotion and cycles and even phases in life are like the ocean. They have a building, they have a climax and then they have a moving downward, a slowing down, a building of energy so it’s like a building of energy, an expression and then a lull.”
