Dr. David Friedman is a naturopath, clinical nutritionist and neurologist. He studied Alternative Medicine at Harvard Medical School and is the author of the college textbook, Understanding the Nervous System. He has helped people like John Travolta, Jenny McCarthy and Paul Newman along their health journey. His most recent book, Food Sanity: How To Eat in a World of Fads and Fiction is an award winning, national best-seller.
Dr. Friedman spent part of his career as a TV and a radio host, quickly finding that each guest he interviewed had differing opinions on food. He decided to research each food group to uncover what the real truth was when it came to their effect on human biology. He discovered curious insights into the working of the human body and the prevention of disease.
This conversation with Dr. Friedman had me ready to run to my kitchen and throw out everything that is not nutritional or nourishing. As Dr. Friedman explains, the ideal human diet is based off of 90% plant foods and 10% animal proteins.
Dr. Friedman and I talk about fad diets, why food science should never be trusted, how the meat industry has created a perception for the need for meat and when we should filter our water.

Dagny is the founder of Fearless Unlimited, a consulting agency for brands and organizations making an impact on the world. Her role as founder of a social impact company has challenged her, teaching her the importance of maintaining a connection with herself and a wiser power.
While balancing her roles of mother and founder, she has figured out that looking at life through a lens of curiosity is crucial to happiness. She’s used this lens to move through her career and have the courage to open her own company. Dagny explains why we have to use curiosity to drive us towards our purpose to ensure we don’t get stuck on the idea of failure.
After talking with Dagny, I was reminded of the importance of silence. If the founder of such an impactful company stresses the necessity of sitting with your breathe and connecting with a higher power, you know she’s on to something.
In this episode, Dagny and I discuss her method of transforming hard experiences into learning moments, how to overcome the fear of silence and why we have to craft our lives.

Ashley Wood is a gifted akashic records reader. These records are the Google search of your soul, from the day it was created, through the present moment and onward. Akashic records aren’t an actual book, but a spiritual plane accessed through prayer.
Ashley found her gift for reading akashic records and speaking with those who have passed when she was child. Her grandmother sparked her initial interest in spiritual planes and Ashley became familiar with the idea of planes existing that she couldn’t physically see. While pregnant with her daughter, her connection heightened and she dove deeply into her practice of record reading.
After talking with Ashley, I was in awe at her client stories of life long obstacles vanishing after they connected with their past lives. Ashley certainly has a talent and she is here to spread the message of forgiveness, gratitude and courage.
Ashley and talk about her late grandmother’s impact on her gift, how akashic records can pivot our lives and why removing energetically draining people from her social circle was essential for her passion to thrive.

Corinne Zupko is the author of From Anxiety To Love: A Radical New Approach for Letting Go of Fear and Finding Lasting Peace. Her journey with anxiety began at age two when she was diagnosed with separation anxiety. Her anxieties heightened in college and she found herself feeling like she was living an abnormal life.
Everything changed when she read the book A Course In Miracles. After learning about the two parts of our mind, she was able to find solace from her anxiety attacks. Becoming aware of the fearful thought system in her mind, she realized that even if it may seem like the loudest thoughts in her head, there was always a stable place to lean on. The second thought system, the higher self, was there ready for her whenever she wanted to cut ties with the fearful system.
This conversation with Corinne reminded me of the importance of our internal focus. If we only observe our fearful thoughts, we live in a constant state of fear. What would happen if we focused on the higher power thoughts? I immediately found that my higher power thoughts were happy to speak up and affirm to me that I was doing a great job and had nothing to fear.
In this episode, Corinne and I talk about our experiences with anxiety attacks, how to calm yourself down when you are in the thick of one and why we need to be aware of the thought systems controlling our minds.
