Radically Loved® with Rosie Acosta

Hello Friends, I’m Rosie Acosta. I am a Meditation Teacher; Speaker and Author of You Are Radically Loved: A healing journey to self-love. I grew up in East Los Angeles during the 92 La Riots and it set me on a troubled path for many years. I didn’t grow up with mentors in my life, so I turned to reading as many books as I possibly could to learn about life’s purpose. In my journey as a First Gen-Mexican American, I found having these conversations gave me insight, support, and inspiration. So, I decided to create a place where I could share these conversations with my community. The Radically Loved Podcast was born! How do we create a radically loved life? Come have a sit with me so we can discover all things mindfulness, spirituality, self-love, and overall healthy living. Please be sure to share the episodes that you love and also leave us a review!

Dr. Mike Dow, Psy.D, is a highly sought-after psychotherapist and the New York Times bestselling author of The Brain Fog Fix and Diet Rehab. Inspired by his brother who was diagnosed with a rare brain disease and suffered a massive stroke at 10-years-old, Dr. Mike made it his personal mission to understand and help others’ struggles.  In May 2017, Dr. Mike will be launching his third book, Healing the Broken Brain, which was co-written with his brother to serve as a handbook for stroke survivors.  I am blown away by all that Dr. Mike has done. I love the interconnectedness of his story and mission. We had an amazing conversation about proving negativity wrong, changing our health, and the power of perseverance.     Radically Healing Mike   Watching his younger brother struggle to recover after a stroke Learning to practice health in a more holistic way Discovering the root of how we feel about ourselves and the world   Radically Inspired Clarity   Everything we put into our bodies has the power to heal it or fog it. No matter what dark cloud you’re going through, there is a way to get better.   Dr. Mike Dow Answers…   How can we stop feeling like we’re stuck in a rut? What can we do to have healthy relationships in the digital age? How can we live our lives in a healthier way?   Radically Loved Quotes   “Too many people are looking for pills to be the answer, but the truth is we probably need them far less.”   “We have to own our inner guides.”   “We all have the ability to rewire our brain by what we choose every single day.”   “There is no silver bullet, but you have all the tools you need.”   A Little More About Our Guest  Dr. Mike holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree and a Doctorate (Psy.D.) in psychology, is registered with the California Board of Psychology and the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, and maintains a full-time license to practice psychotherapy. Dr. Mike’s warm and outgoing personality quickly led him to become a television favorite, hosting/co-hosting a number of national shows, including E!’s Sex with Brody, VH1’s Couples Therapy, TLC’s Freaky Eaters, LOGO’s That Sex Show, and TLC’s My 600-lb Life Reunion. He is most recently featured as The Bachelor’s Ben and Lauren’s therapist on their Freeform spinoff Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After? He makes regular appearances on Dr. Oz as a member of his “core team” and is a recurring guest co-host on The Doctors. He is very involved in charitable causes and volunteers for the Camp Comfort Zone, the nation's largest bereavement camp, and served as a volunteer Trevor Project “Lifeguard.”Though he travels extensively for work, he resides in Los Angeles. www.drmikedow.com
