Radically Loved® with Rosie Acosta

Hi I’m Rosie Acosta. I am a Meditation Teacher; Speaker and Author of You Are Radically Loved: A healing journey to self-love. I grew up in East Los Angeles during the 92 La Riots and it set me on a troubled path for many years. I didn’t grow up with mentors in my life, so I turned to reading as many books as I possibly could to learn about life’s purpose. In my journey as a First Gen-Mexican American, I found having these conversations gave me insight, support, and inspiration. So, I decided to create a place where I could share these conversations with my community. The Radically Loved Podcast was born! How do we create a radically loved life? Come have a sit with me so we can discover all things mindfulness, spirituality, self-love, and overall healthy living. Please be sure to share the episodes that you love and also leave us a review!

Samantha Skelly is an entrepreneur, motivational speaker, best-selling author, and emotional eating expert who has revolutionized the weight loss industry by examining the individual and underlying causes of eating disorders.

As the woman behind Hungry for Happiness, Samantha envisions a world in which women no longer feel compelled to diet. In which they have a strong connection to their body and its intuitive powers, and give themselves permission to feel pain; secure in the knowledge that our bodies don’t throw anything at us that we can’t handle.

I wanted to have Samantha on to share her story and insight with you. We talk about the pressure to be thin, why diet plans don’t work, listening to our bodies, and how we show up every day.

Radically Connected Samantha

  • Growing up on stage and developing a diet depression
  • Going through a journey to self-love and intuition
  • Understanding how to be honest and communicate with our bodies

Radically Inspired Clarity

  • When we’re confused by the signals our body is giving us, it’s difficult to honor what it needs. The more we listen to our bodies, the easier it is to communicate from our bodies to our minds.

Samantha Skelly Answers…

  • Why do we equate being thin with happiness and success?
  • How can we begin to listen to our body and follow its needs?

Radically Loved Quotes

“We are always comparing our shitty day to someone’s highlight reel.”

“Rather than figure out what you think you should have, allow your body to tell you what you should have.”

“Our body is the portal to our truth.”

“Fall in love with as many things as possible and don’t get attached.”
