Radically Loved® with Rosie Acosta

Hi I’m Rosie Acosta. I am a Meditation Teacher; Speaker and Author of You Are Radically Loved: A healing journey to self-love. I grew up in East Los Angeles during the 92 La Riots and it set me on a troubled path for many years. I didn’t grow up with mentors in my life, so I turned to reading as many books as I possibly could to learn about life’s purpose. In my journey as a First Gen-Mexican American, I found having these conversations gave me insight, support, and inspiration. So, I decided to create a place where I could share these conversations with my community. The Radically Loved Podcast was born! How do we create a radically loved life? Come have a sit with me so we can discover all things mindfulness, spirituality, self-love, and overall healthy living. Please be sure to share the episodes that you love and also leave us a review!

Sara Clark

Radically Loved Podcast

Sara Clark is known for her compassion and creative teaching style. She is a certified vinyasa teacher living in New York City and is on the teaching staff at Kripalu. She leads workshops and retreats internationally and is a featured teacher on Yoga Glow.

In this episode, we talk about bringing yoga philosophy into our everyday lives by learning to embrace our struggles. Sara reminds us that our curiosity towards our internal mind is what will manifest our largest dreams, including her dream of having tea with Oprah.

Radically Vibrant Sara

  • We are creating our reality with our thoughts on a daily basis, making manifestation a magic wand that we get to use however we want
  • The social media highlight reels are shaping our society to be less connected and avoid communication
  • Freedom is silencing your inner critic and leaning into the spacious feeling of life without that critic in our way

Radically Inspired Clarity

  • Shift your focus away from what you look like while doing yoga and towards the amazing things your body is doing for you while you are practicing
  • Your intuition is a soft voice that can be hard to listen to but will become gradually louder until you don’t have a choice but to listen to it
  • Meditation and breath bring us back to the warmth of the universe and is a reminder of how much we are loved and supported

Sara Answers…

  • What place were you in when you knew that you wanted to bring more yoga into the world?
  • What can women do to feel more empowered and less distracted by the external pressure that makes us feel inadequate?
  • What does your manifestation practice look like?
  • Have you always known what path you wanted to go on or was it a gradual evolution?

Radically Loved Quotes

“I think New York City is my biggest teacher.”

“Your yoga practice evolves with time.”

“What lights me up is ways to lessen my suffering while I’m on this Earth.”

Radically Loved Podcast

Bianca Kajlich and Michael Catherwood are a power couple, in their careers and their relationship. Bianca, a seasoned actress, and Michael, a radio host, have figured out how to master mindfulness and are using their experience to help other couples find their flow.

In this episode, we talk about using relationships are a barometer for how we are showing up for other people in our lives. Michael and Bianca give us their relationship tips, how they mastered communication and the false relationship mindset we’ve been conditioned to believe.

Radically Vibrant Bianca and Michael

  • Relationships are a barometer for how we can show up for people and be of service to each other
  • Children, marriage, polyamorous relationships, etc. are not for everybody and that understanding opens us up for what is for us
  • Uplifting and empowering woman doesn’t require us to diminish men

Radically Inspired Clarity

  • A friendly reminder that relationships don’t mean you’re not an individual and healthy relationships push each person to have their own life outside of the relationship
  • Identify what is important to yourself and use those as reminders of gratitude when you choose to create drama in your life
  • Relationships require an open communication of what you need to feel fulfilled

Bianca and Michael Answer…

  • What are the three things that a relationship must have to thrive?
  • What was the largest lesson you learned from your past relationships that you brought into your current relationship?
  • What is your definition of a deal breaker in a relationship?
  • Do you think polyamorous relationships are sustainable?

Radically Loved Quotes

“In a relationship, you have to respect that you are different people and you have your own lives. That’s important.”

“Deal breakers of a relationship have to be deal breakers of the soul.”

“Somewhere down the line we got the idea that if you love me, you should know what I want. That’s bullshit.”

Andrea just released her first book, Close To Om: Stretching Yoga From Your Mat to Your Life, an insightful and valuable book on working through our life struggles on the mat.

In this episode, Andrea talks about how she used her yoga mat as a magic carpet to travel the world. She explains why gratitude and self development are her favorite parts of her yoga practice, why she always leans into discomfort and how to become a master of our self growth.

Radically Vibrant Andrea

  • Life isn’t black and white, it exists in a grey zone where we have to follow discomfort to find contentment
  • We have to stay with our discomfort long enough that we can water the seeds, give them time to grow and then bear the fruit
  • Be purposeful with creating time for insight to come into your life by giving attention to strangers and new people in your life

Radically Inspired Clarity

  • As a yoga teacher, use your yoga mat as a magic carpet to go and travel the world
  • Where there is resistance, there is reason-trust the unfolding of time to be in your favor
  • Yoga is a ritual of simply sitting and being and that can be its most profound effect

Andrea Answers…

  • How did you move past the initial confrontation that yoga caused for you?
  • What’s the largest lesson you have learned in regards to spirituality?
  • Where do you see yoga going in the next twenty years?
